River Rock Ranch

River Rock Ranch is a 120 acre Ranch with facilities located 4.2 miles east of Udall on K-15 and is 12 miles North of Winfield.

The vision originated by Maggie Morris in 2001 was to create a facility for the purpose of providing a location to assist "at risk" youth and make a difference in their lives. 501(c)(3) Charitable Entity recognition was obtained from the IRS in 2002 for River Rock Ranch, Inc.

Since its beginnings, various youth on probation and from other similar programs have utilized the facility. The Boy Scouts of America have provided a Charter for the use of Scouting Programs.

For the past several summers a multiple week program for a small group of teenagers has been conducted. They have received training in job skills, built furniture and a cabin, and been involved in other training and life skills.

The Self-help Network at Wichita State University, corporate support and private donations have shared in making this vision become a reality.

For 2007 a grant has been received from Compassion Kansas for the acquisition of tools for over $10,000.00.

The future vision is to continue on site programs to move "at risk" youth from an urban setting to a country setting and to make a change in their lives.

How you can assist in making the future brighter for "at-risk" youth in Kansas? By participating with us at River Rock Ranch. For more information contact Maggie Morris 620-782-3441.
